Telelvision/Radio Broadcasting Sports Journalism

Can anyone comment on the undergraduate program that would lead to a career in this field? I don't find the college website covering this topic. Thanks.

The broadcast journalism department at the University of Alabama is one of the premier programs in the country. The broadcast department is ranked #5 in the nation and has it's own commercially run television station (Only one other school in the country has that). That means that the news station at UA is anchored by professionals and students and fully produced by students. They have to compete for advertising and compete with all other news stations (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX). The biggest benefit at UA is that they let you start your major your FRESHMAN year. This means you get to play with the toys right away . For someone who wants to go into sports journalism, Bama is the perfect choice.
