Alabama's website or application form says that students who have at least a 3.0 gpa and 950 on the SAT should be successful at the university. I've taken that to mean that someone with those minimum stats is quite likely to be admitted to the university. If you look at ACT/SAT conversion tables, your ACT score is a good bit better than your SAT score. (I don't have the conversion in front of me, but I believe your 25 ACT score would equate to about an 1160 to 1180 SAT score (CR and Math)). So you should submit your ACT score, and you should be okay. Your ECs are obviously pretty weak, so, since demand will probably be even higher this year, you should get in your application earlier rather than later. Good luck.

I would be willing to bet money that you would get accepted, but do not take this as a reason to get comfortable. You should always aim higher. As far as EC's I would disagree that they are weak. It is better to be actively involved with 2 or 3, maybe even being an officer in a club at your school than to have 5 EC's listed down on your application. If you can portray in your essay how you are involved in those EC's than you can increase your chances of being accepted.

Alabama doesn't even ask for ECs on their application; they are largely irrelevant unless you're applying for scholarships.

like seriously..it says to be successful at bama you need to have a 3.0 and 990 SAT. you will be just fine. and if you are below that, then they tell you to apply early and youre golden. they are trying to bring the student # up to 31,000 by 2010. but they think they might be able to reach it this year. after 2010 they are going to significantly raise their admissions standards. georgia and UF did this a few years ago and bama's jumpin on board.
( i already got in btw)
