I am a senior at Carmel High School and I am going to attend Vincennes University because my grades kept me out of getting into big name colleges like Indiana University, Purdue University, etc. Well, I was wondering, if I go to Vincennes for 2 years and then transfer to Arizona to study communications do you think that I will get accepted? My GPA right now is a 2.7, so if you could help me that would be great!
According to the UA website, out-of-state transfers are admitted if they have at least 24 transferrable semester credits with a 2.5 gpa. (and no high school deficiencies)
However, Comm majors have to apply to the Department of Communications in addition to submitting an admission application to University of Arizona. As a transfer student you may need a higher GPA because the field is very competitive and you'll be competing with current Pre-Comm Majors who already attend UofA.
