Congratulations to all those who have received acceptances. As I've mentioned in other posts, in addition to my daughter attending UArts, my office is a block north of the Terra Building. So if anyone has any questions about Philadelphia as a college town or about my daughter's experiences there, feel free to ask. For those who will be visiting, if you would like some recommendations for restaurants in walking distance from the hotels and school, that are local favorites, let me know.

Thank you!! My son is beyond excited. We will be arriving the evening of April 2 for a Thursday, April 3 visit. We are planning on attending Into The Woods. I have read your posts and did notice your location and am sending you a PM.

AZKMom, you are in for a treat. My D and I visited in October 2006 and got to see UArts' "Urinetown" and really enjoyed ourselves. It was also made more fun by the fact that we got to meet nytheatremom's absolutely lovely D and her roommate, and they couldn't have been nicer about showing us around, talking to us about UArts and why they loved it, etc. So do your best to talk with current MT students. They are brimming with enthusiasm.

Or/and speak with the Acting students as you had mentioned your son was admitted for the wonderful UArts Acting program.
(The M/T's and Acting students take acting classes together.)

Finally, after waiting for what seemed like forever, I've been accepted to Uarts!
But what's really cool is that because I'm transferring from Cal State Fullerton, a lot of my GE's are transferring, giving me more of an opportunity to take other arts classes or even a minor.
I'm excited. : )

I can imagine, baby, and I don't envy you. But as I've said, the war is far from over. You have a lot of opportunities still to come, this is far from over. And we have yet to hear from the people who thought you were "lovely" (knock on wood for good measure).

No we have not visited. Your above post indicates that you will be there soon!! Let us know about your visit. I'm hoping that UArts will be my D's choice. She is waiting for one more audition before a final decision is made.
