Another worried Haas hopeful here.
So fall semester I did fairly well and ended up with a 3.83 GPA.
But...this semester I really screwed up. Math 1b killed me, as did my ridiculous GSI for R&C.
I ended up with an A- in UGBA, A in UGBA 96 but a B- in math 1b and B in R5B. My GPA plunged and I'm even more worried about Haas now.
Given that I rape this summer's classes and next fall, find a part time internship this summer, and step up my involvement in my extracurriculars, do I still have a chance?

Haas looks much more at extracurriculars than they do grades. Given that you did fairly well in the classes required to apply, and your overall GPA is higher than 3.5, you shouldn't worry too much about your grades. Once your GPA drops below 3.0, you have nearly no chance unless you're really awesome at ********ting why you're awesome and are a veritable Mark Zuckerberg 2.0.

Haas acceptances have always been a bit of a coinflip in some ways, but usually, the trend is that if you do a fair amount of extracurriculars, show passion, and don't suck at school or the extracurriculars, you'll have a good chance at getting in.

Summer is fine and everything, but try not to get too greedy. Summer classes are incredibly intensive, so it's advisable you don't take more than one at a time if you're really looking for a job. For extracurriculars, it's too late to really apply to be in cabinet for anything, so you might have to make it up for the next semester by applying to a lot of things or finding meaningful jobs (the former is not quite advisable).

Dear GBUUM;
I am curious if I want to major accounting in Haas, and I am working as intern for a very small accounting firm, will this count as extracurriculum activities in the eyes of Haas. Does it has to be big firm like AT&T or apple to get me in? Any advice will be highly appreciated.

Anything you get paid for is counted as work, not EC. Also, you can have a focus or emphasis at Haas, but everyone graduates with the same B.S. in Business Administration. You will not have an "accounting" degree from Haas. I does not have to be at a big firm to get you in. In fact, I would say a smaller firm would provide you with more opportunity to take on a leadership role, so it may actually be advantageous to be at a smaller firm.
