Change Major Choice in Appeal Letter?

Does anyone know if that is possible?

I originally applied to EECS, stupidly, and got rejected. Can I change my choice of major in my appeal to Mechanical Engineering?

Stupidly? If that's what you want to do in life, there's nothing stupid about it. The point is that they don't have room for you. Changing major will do nothing. I don't see the point in changing what you want to do just to get into a college.
Going to a good college doesn't guarantee a good future.
    Move on.
