I got clark kerr triple too, but i'm not sure i'm happy about it. The problem here is.. too far away from college and i didn't really like the food there.

Clark Kerr Double--

I feel the same was as you onlyone; It was my first choice but now considering how far away it is from campus and how few freshman will be there... I'm not that excited.

my pooper has been sewn shut... I'm just going to explode when I turn fifty.

(But I do get your point--I don't know what it will be like, and I feel grateful that I got my first choice in such a nice dorm... but I'm just saying)

Clark Kerr is very spacious in comparison to the Units, but yes since its isolated from the rest of the campus it is quiet, and not a very socially active part of the university. It's usually where most of the athletes are housed anyway, the food court for Clark Kerr is pretty good though.

"not a very socially active part of the university" -- where are you getting this from?! clark kerr rocked socially. i had so much fun there and am so glad i got to live there. i would say its weaknesses are the distance (although not sooo much farther than unit 2) and maintenance (they didn't fix a dryer the entire the entire year when there were 2 others meant for several buildings). While the food went in streaks throughout the year (started off great and then would randomly get really bad or really good), you can always count on lunch to be the best. socially, there are some floors that are going to be more quiet than others, but all you have to do is go to the next closest one and you'll see the difference. plus ckc is gorgeous. be excited guys!

I totally second everything nbanyk said. Clark Kerr is not socially inactive, far from it. People are always down to hang out all the time. It really depends on your building, your floor. I've seen floors in Units that are cricket-chirping quiet, so it really goes both ways.

Clark Kerr triple freshman here-- I visited today. I thought the setting was very nice and the distance wasn't as bad as I was expecting. Although of course, it still does feel quite isolated.

Nice, I just got my housing contract... I got a double room in a suite in Clark Kerr. I found Clark Kerr to be very social when I visited, its a good balance between a social dorm and a study dorm. As for the athlete debate, although I'm an athlete, they don't make up all of the Clark Kerr crowd.

as i said in another post, CKC isn't as bad as it seems! the rooms are huge, the food is good, the distance...it really sucks the first week but then you get used to it and you adjust. it's not as isolated as it seems and it can be very social. i lived in the regular buildings but i've heard that the suites can be a bit on the quieter side just because of the way it is set up. but just keep your doors open and you should be fine. and there are actually a lot of freshmen at ckc...or there was last year. i think theres usually alot.
