Okay, I am a freshman right now and I'm thinking of applying for research positions through URAP. Do you think freshman like myself has a good chance of getting accepted by the professors?

    I applied this year as a sophomore and I got my position. However, I accidentally contacted the professor prior to the beginning of the official application process. I might have had an advantage.
