| Yea, even if you said Business was your major on the app, you aren't considered that in the eyes of berkeley. You take the business pre-reqs then apply for Haas at the end of your sophmore year, and hope you get in.
It is possible to transfer into engineering, but I'm not sure of the difficulty. you may need to wait at least a semester, and they could have gpa requirements and such. |

| Not so easy to do engineering + MCB. Why not just do BioE? |

| I was thinking about living in a triple to save money, but after reading some of the posts, the consensus is that they're pretty crappy. Is it really that bad? Is there a big difference between living in a triple and a double? And does anyone know how much you actually save living in a triple instead of a double? |

| I got into Cal's EECS class of 2011, but I'm afraid of the competitiveness and stress. It would be helpful to know how many people survive in Cal's EECS entering sophomore year and entering junior year. (PS. its OK to throw scary statistics at me; I personally want to go to UCLA, but my parents won't let me. Give me some reason so I can go to UCLA *wink, wink* *nudge, nudge*) |

| I'm thinking of making a pretty big change to my schedule for the last trimester of my senior year. Instead of taking the following courses at community college:
EWRT1A (English Writing class, 5 units)
MATH30 (Discrete Math course, 5 units)
CIS84 (A computer course, 4 units)
AUTO25 (An automotive tech course, 4 units)
I want to take the following:
MATH30 (same as above, 5 u)
PHYSICS5B (an Electricity and Magnetism Physics course, 6 u)
PHYSICS5C (a Thermodynamics, Optics Physics course, 6u)
AUTO25 (same as above)
This will allow me to skip the dreaded Physics 7B that I would have otherwise needed to take at Berkeley (by transferring the physics courses from my CC). The downside is that I will be going against what I told Berkeley I would take when I applied. I'm not sure it matters, but the new schedule would be 2 more units than the old one. What do you guys think? Is this too big of a change? I'm concerned that Berkeley might rethink my admission if I make this change. |

| I'm guessing it depends on the community college. |
