If I major in Economics, is it possible to switch into the Haas Business Program, and how easy, and what would I need to do it?

| Class rank
Does class rank have a great affect on your admission?
Because i go to an extremely competitive school and have good grades, but there are so many kids as good or better.

| freshman grades
Hey Guys!
I was wondering...how important are our high school freshman grades? I had a 3.5 which isn't the greatest. But i know that I am capable of 4.0, and that's what I have now, as a sophomore.
Thanks

High school freshman grades have zero importance. They're quite explicitly not considered during the admissions process.

Which english classes here should I take for the pre-med reqs? Should I pick easy classes or interesting ones or should I just take the rhetoric ones (placed out of r1a and r1b with AP Eng Lit)?

I'm in the same boat as blueducky. I passed out of R1A/B requirements with an AP score, so what is necessary for pre-health english requirements? Do "writing-intensive" courses like Peace and Conflict Studies 10 or Anthropology 3 AC suffice? I would guess no, but just had to throw it out there.

I'm filling my applications to Cal now. Inclined to major in Econ but not quite sure yet:
1. Between Econ and Undeclared in L&S, which one could give me a higher chance to get in?
2. Econ is an impacted major. If I get in with undeclared, it's difficult to take Econ as major later on?
Many thanks!!!

I would love to hear about the L&S Computer Science workload..what's it like compared to EECS? Lots more room for arts/humanities courses?

1. It don't matter which one you pick cause you will be applying to the college of L&S
2. Depends, cause everyone is required to submit an application to get into Econ. You will not be placed into the Econ dept.

With the budget cuts, is it realistic to graduate in 4 years?
