| QUESTION: When and how do you get a CEC (Course Entry Code)?
I wish to enroll in PRACTICE OF ART 8...
The current class space is:
Limit:101 Enrolled:72 Waitlist:0 Avail Seats:29
When I tried to add the course to my schedule, they said it was full and that the class didn't have a waitlist. So, I have to get a CEC to get into the class. Do I email the professor or do I wait until the first day of class and show up to ask for a code? |

| alright so i dont know if i wanna take the 16 or 1 series for math so is it possible to take math 1A for the fall semester and take 16B for the spring semester if i plan on switching my major from MCB (which requires the 1 series) to integrative biology (which accepts both the 1 and 16 series) |

| If you take 16B after 1A, you will only receive 2 units of credit instead of the usual 3. And I think Integrative Biology doesn't even require 16B or 1B. So if you happened to switch to IB, you wouldn't even need Calc 2. That is, of course, if you're not planning on going to med school. If you are, then you should probably check with the schools you're interested in. |

| I'm guessing the "dual-layer" DVDs refer to the DVDs that can have stuff burned onto both sides, thus increasing its capacity from roughly 4 gigs to roughly 8 gigs. It really doesn't matter though; you'll hardly need to burn stuff in college. |

| 1. what is the voltage for outlets in the Berkeley campus/dorms? I need to know this because I'm buying a laptop from Asia, and I don't know if I should buy a mini-transformer thing (for changing the voltage) when I charge my laptop batteries
2. does anyone have any website recommendations for getting great bargains for text books? (preferably new ones, instead of used ones)
thanks very much!!!!!! |

| 1. The same as all the other outlets in the US, which I believe is 120 Volts, so you might need an adapter of some kind.
2. Students usually try to get bargains from Amazon.com or Half.com, but almost always for used books. For new textbooks I don't think you can find "great" bargains, and it's more convenient to just buy them from the Cal Student Store or Ned's bookstore. |

| Pimentel to Dwinelle isn't that bad. You should make it pretty easily.
You won't be able to skip out of 1B if you take 1A with your AP score. |
