| New question -- on Bearfacts, if it lists under your schedule of classes, a class in which you're on the waitlist, and you are "position 1", does that mean you're first on the waitlist?
Thanks! |

| They are decently-sized. I've never heard of a shampoo bottle having trouble fitting in there. It's probably big enough to hold a few 2-liter bottles of coke. |

| Does anybody know which floors aren't co-ed in Unit 2 (specifically Cunningham Hall)? Also, I believe that the actual first floor is the "ground floor," and the second floor is the "1st floor," correct? |

| The elevator has a 'G' button for the ground floor so I guess what you're saying about the second floor being called the first floor is right.
I have a question: Are there different textbooks for the different sections of Math 1A? I have Hald as my instructor and section 002. The bkstr.com site says that I need the "Calculus Custom 1A/1B" textbook which I can't find anywhere except for one extremely damaged copy on comegetused.com. Is it okay to get "Calculus: Early Transcendentals" 5th ed.? They are both by the same author, Stewart, I believe. |

| they may have the same chapters, but the difference is probably the math problems/questions at the end of each section. You certainly don't want to be doing completely different problems than the rest of the class, as that is likely to hurt you when midterms/finals role around. |

| How "extremeley damaged" lol? If it's your only option to get the correct edition, it may not be so bad. If not, try online book stores to get the correct edition if possible. Remember, you don't have to go through campus affiliated book stores! |

| Haha, extremely damaged as in both the front and back covers are missing (must have been a rough year).
I asked a Student Store employee about it and he directed me to the right book so issue resolved. I would order from an online book store except that I don't feel like paying for shipping.
My friend who's a 2nd year at Cal wanted to sell me her copy of the Math 1A textbook but apparently, she used a different book from what I'll be using (hers is Early Transcendentals 5th ed. and I have Single Variable Essential Calculus).
Thanks for all the help, guys! My roommate got transparent book covers and I wrapped it. |

Thanks. |

| I'm 3rd on the automated waitlist for College Writing 110 (in a class of 20), but the backup choice class I've signed up (Philosophy 3) for has lecture during the same time as College Writing 110.
I've heard that in general it's a good idea to go to the waitlisted class for a better chance of actually getting into the class, but in this case what should I do? Would it even matter since the waitlist is automated? |

| The AC transit runs during welcome week with the same schedule. I think I saw the Perimeter around. They should also be running. |

| In the laundry room, is it normal for someone else to take out your clothes from the washing machine and dump them on top so that that person can do his/her own laundry?
Just wondering because I feel like I was a victim of laundry-hijacking. |

| I've heard of it happening before, and I wouldn't be too surprised, especially if there were people waiting around for machines. I'd advise timing it so you can be there right as your clothes are finished |

| 198 courses Is it possible to take over 4 independent study classes? I want to take 2 DeCal classes for four units, but I'm also currently in another 1 unit 198 course. |
