Hmm, that might just be sent to all students. I wouldn't say your housing is confirmed unless you get an email saying so.

" got a letter in the mail today from the residence hall linen service, detailing the necessary preparations for moving in and what not. does this confirm my housing for the fall or is this sent to ALL incoming students?"

May be an ad...

yeah the company that sent out the catalogs isn't affiliated with berkeley,
most department stores carry the extra-long sheets we need for cheaper anyway

They get housing everywhere, from units to Foothill to Clark Kerr to Bowles and Stern. It's not different from fall admits.

two quick questions:

1) how can i send my sat scores to the FPF? you cant send it through collegeboard. can i just print out the scores off their website? i lost the paper they send through the mail.

2) for the transfer credit, it says to attach a copy of a transcript. are they asking for a high school transcript?

Huh, never heard of this one before. I guess you could try calling the office / sending an email asking them, but knowing Berkeley's dogmatic nature I'm not sure if they'll let you.

1. What cathersx3 said.

2. What credits are you trying to transfer? If you're talking about AP credit, make a copy of your scores and send it in. If you're talking about CC credit, send in a copy of your CC transcript.

Well, here's what the college of engineering says:

Quote:
If I am unable to attend the semester for which I am admitted, will Berkeley defer my admission to a later term?

A. No. Admission is valid only for the term in which you are admitted. If you wish to attend Berkeley in a future term, you must reapply without an admission guarantee. You will compete with all applicants who apply for the same term.

So if you got into CoE, there's your answer. You're probably in the College of Letters and Sciences though, for which I didn't find a similar Q&A. (maybe another poster here could find one?) L&S might be more lenient than CoE so I'd encourage you to just call up the admissions office and ask if you can defer your admission.

My friends are taking summer classes at CC, and planning to transfer the credit to UCs later on. What are the pros/cons of doing so?
