    I'm a senior at Berkeley now... have u completed the required transfer coursework for haas? I don’t see computer science on your list... other than that, assuming u complete the list of courses id say u are guaranteed. ur only trouble is being out of state... but, with a 4.0, all coursework completed, having the ECs and work experience will get u in.. being Hispanic will help too... if u have any questions u can PM me.

    @Berk08

    I still haven't taken the Comp Sci requirement, I'm looking into taking it Spring 2008. Does it have to be an intro course to computers by the Comp Sci department? If that's it I'm planning on taking

    CS 1107 INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTERS (3 credits) (Breadth Requirement)

    There is also computers applied to Business -- from Business Adm department:

    BUAD 1180 BUSINESS COMPUTING (3 credits)

    But I think they are asking for regular Comp Sci course, what do you think ?

    Bro... id say its extremely important you take the right one. Haas gets something like 1100 transfer apps a year and 600 of those are automatically thrown out because people didn’t complete the prereqs. It would suck for you to get thrown out over a misinterpretation... I suggest comparing the course outlines for the two courses (Berkeley’s class and ur college’s) and making sure they are the same. if u have any reservations u should visit ur college counselor and they will be able to verify for u. if ur counselors suck call berkeley/haas and let them know the situation... u could probably send them the course outline of the class u want to take and have them verify that it will count for admissions....

    before u are done, make SURE all ur prereqs are done and that you have completed the right equivalent courses.. then apply.

    btw, are u applying from a community college?

    I've talked to Berkeley already and they told me all I could do is compare the courses. Do you know what's the name of the course you have to take in Berkeley that fulfills the Computer Science Pre-Req?

    I'm applying from a small state university (approx 5,000 students) Bemidji State University in Minnesota.

    Computer Science: Choose a computer science course from departments such as Computer Science or Computer Information Systems. The course must be
    UC-transferable for at least 3 semester or 4 quarter units.

    do u know about assist.org ?

    @Berk08

    I've read that, but it's pretty broad. I was thinking it would be Intro to Computers by the Comp Sci department.

    I've heard about assist.org but it's only for Californian Schools as far as I know.
