IF so what is the extra fare I have to pay (I have the UCB bus sticker).

i don't think there's an AC transit straight to stanfurd. dunno about AC transit to caltrain tho

i believe there is an AC transit line that runs around stanford, but to get there via ac transit involves a very convoluted path; also, i believe the bus only runs on certain days of the week.

you can take the bart down to millbrae, then take the caltrain into stanford; the trip takes a good while due to stops / waiting for trains. both the bart and caltrain will require payment separate from the ac transit class pass.

The 'AC' in AC Transit stands for Alameda-Contra Costa Counties, so that is their main service area (plus express busses to The City).....

Hi, AC Transit provides some crossbay service.


Line "DB" (Dumbarton) goes from the East Bay, Union City BART, to Palo Alto Caltrain and Stanford.

Line "U" (University) goes from the East Bay, Fremont BART, to Stanford

Line "M" goes from the East Bay, Hayward BART, to Hillsdale Caltrain station

Another alternative is to take BART to Millbrae and transfer to Caltrain there.
If you are coming from UC Berkeley, this is the fastest and most flexiable (IMO) way, though it is the most expensive.

Upgrade cost from local fare to Transbay is 1x local fare.
