I know they don't waitlist, but they do accept some people for the Spring term. So, WAIT messages could mean Spring?

Dear you,

Freshman decisions for fall 2008 will be announced on March 27!

Decisions will be posted online via the student portal, myBerkeleyApplication, at: http://students.berkeley.edu/myberke...erkeleyapp.asp

Please set up your password to myBerkeleyApp now so that you are all set to receive your admissions decision on March 27th.

You will need your 7-digit UC applicant ID number and the email address you provided in the application.

Berkeley cannot provide application ID numbers. However, there are several ways for you to find your Application ID:

1. Your University of California (also known as PATHWAYS) receipt; if you submitted your application via the University of California website, you should have seen a screen displaying this information.
2. On the upper right-hand side of the UC aknowledgement letter you received in the mail
3. Contact the University of California Admissions Processing center (UCAP):
In California: 800-523-2048
Out of California: 925-808-2181
Deaf and Hearing Impaired Callers: TDD 925-521-9280
(All calls should ask for UC Admissions Processing)
Email: ucinfo@ucapplication.net

Also, if you change your email address, or any of the contact information on your application, please update this information online at the UC Application Center website: https://www.ucapplication.net/ucap

Or, you may email Berkeley at: emailupdate@berkeley.edu

Unfortunately, we are unable to change any other application information.

Good luck and go Bears!

Dear you,

Freshman decisions for fall 2008 will be announced on March 27!

We know you're hearing from other University of California campuses, but before you give them your reply, please wait to hear from UC Berkeley: we're worth the wait!

Berkeley decisions will be posted online via the student portal, myBerkeleyApplication, at: http://students.berkeley.edu/myberke...erkeleyapp.asp

If you haven't already done so, log in now to create your password so you'll be all set to find out the admission decision as soon as it's posted.

You will need your 7-digit UC applicant ID number (provided when you submitted your University of California application or sent to you after receipt of your paper form) and the email address you provided in the application.

All you have to do to find the link is go to the Cal site, click on undergraduate admissions, then click on the first link that talks about application deadlines, applying, and such. That's where you see the link that talks about the special letter to the 2008 class.

So, dnduswo ended up with the mysterious #00000001-APPS_UNLOGGED e-mail. Interesting. #00000002-APPS_UNLOGGED and OUA-#00000003-APPS_FR_WAIT are also sent out. Now the question is, what is the difference between receiving #1 and #2 (assuming that #3 wait just means that "worth the wait" is included)?

I think we have solved the Davince code(AKA CAL Vinci Code) for the OUA-#00000001-APPS_UNLOGGED
000002_Unlogged and 000003_wait

One can deduce the following:
1) Email sent on 3/15(now i dont think many have got it)
2) Email for people who have(may not have) logged it
3) Email for possible Accept???

Ah, so you got #1!!! (i actually said "yes!!" out loud when I saw that >_>)

So, now I think it is:

#1: People who hadn't created an account by mid-March. They were asked to do so.

#2: Crap... don't give up hope just yet though.

#3: Sent as a 'likely letter' with the phrase "we're worth the wait!"

So.. thoughts?
