I haven't gotten a single email from them since Jan 29th when they thanked me for applying there... but I know i'm an automatic reject and applied there for the hell of it and I'm not planning on attending even if I somehow manage to get in haha

Agree Kathyc--my D is cautiously optimistic as she should be; but still for a moment she was soooo excited to get it. Why send a personlized email to kids saying" wait --and it will be worth your while" sort of hint (dangling a carrot) to only be rejected

for those who got the "worth the wait" email, let's just keep our hope up(make us feel better right)
no matter what the decision will be, we still have 4 "hopeful" days right=]

good luck

I never received a single letter from UCLA, but got in.
Hoping for the same @ Cal(barring the MyBerkeley mail).

@jhuscla, I really don't think we should bet anything on all this speculation though... just sounded like a nice time-waster that's all. ^_^

Upenn sent out a letter that said "I am pleased to acknowledge that we have received your application and want to share some exciting news with you" and then had instructions on how/when to check your decision online.

People thought that may be a likely also because rejections aren't exactly 'exciting news', but seems to be a generic letter to all applicants.

I think the Berkeley one may actually mean something though - why else have different versions of the email?
