I received #3 and I activated my account a long time ago as well. Its been about 2 months I believe.
And while I admit I'm just another hopeful, lextalionis has one point right for sure...
UC ADMISSIONS OFFICES CANNOT BE TRUSTED FOR CONFIRMING RUMORS.
While this rumor may be false, we have seen in the past month numerous examples of inaccurate information from the admissions offices. UCLA and UCSD left applicants in the dark by saying that they hadn't picked a day to release decisions yet just a day or two before they actually came out. Not to mention the engineering letter mentioned earlier. UCSB sent out chancellors reception invitations that stated VERY clearly that these letters were not likely letters indicating acceptance.
Just throwing this out there.

^^learnmestuff, are you for real? No swearing, spitting or throwing things, and look how the veins in your neck are bulging now...Play nice or get out of the sandbox! lex is entitled to her opinions and you are entitled not to agree with them, end of discussion. P.S. If some of you could read, the language in the letter posted on the website is slightly different from version 3 that many on this forum received. It's obviously past your bedtime... :>)

learnmestuff: woahh you need to calm down... that was really unnecessary and uncalled for. at least lex is giving us some hope of getting into Cal... if you don't like people speculating on the differences in the emails, then maybe you shoudn't be reading this thread and making unnecessary comments like that.

Since people apparently forgot about this, #3 =/= auto reject, because prospective regents people have been getting it.

| Is That You, Adam?
Learnmestuff,
You remind me of the Adam Sandler character in the movie Anger Management. Maybe you should rent it some time, and while you're at it, you should consider some anger management classes for your own sweet self.
You are WAY too high strung to take the pressures of an elite university like Cal. If less than a half-dozen posts from my "ancient rear end" (I actually got a big laugh out of that one!) can set you off, then what's going to happen when one of your professors fails you in his or her course because you can't support any of your rants with evidence?
I noticed that you completely side-stepped my comment that I didn't believe you when you stated that the Cal Admissions Office had sent a "clarifying" e-mail to prior e-mail recipients as a result of your contact with their office. Instead, you went off on a tirade like some out-of-control pre-teenager who had just completed a course in "Intro to Name Calling." Sticks and stones, buddy.
I might have missed it, Learnmestuff, but which version of the e-mail did you say you received?

I'm pretty sure the theory is that people who got #3's are in, #2 are out, and #1 didn't set an account up...

| I don't know whether this has been brought up already, but...
I was invited for regents but I got no email...
And they told me at the interview that I got in. So I doubt that the email matters too much. But who knows....
