On an unrelated note, their office is open for about another hour, maybe someone should call, if we're still debating, that is. :P

wow this thread just blew up! i certainly hope that cal wouldnt tell us to wait for a rejection, that would be the cruelest thing any college can do, and it it turns out like that, ill be very disappointed in cal. i hope someone will call

well like people stated before, it would be pretty useless to call because Cal wouldn't admit that they sent out a likely email because they can't release decisions until thursday. i seriously hope that those of us who received email #3 are accepted.. cus they shouldn't tell us to wait just to be rejected...

Agreed, with both of you.
Tough part here is drawing the line between being realistic and wishfully thinking . |

I was wondering if there are many people that didn't recieve the email, because from what I hear, just about everyone got it, so I dont know how reliable it is hoping that it is a likely letter. Any ideas?

| what about us?!?!?!?!?
This is like the fourth time I posted a message like this, but here I post again...
WHAT ABOUT THOSE WHO HAVEN'T RECEIVED ANY EMAIL ABOUT THE MARCH 27TH AT ALL??????????!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????? WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
I'm still trying to figure this out. I've asked almost every senior at my school who've applied to Berkeley if they received the email about March 27th, and they all said that they did receive it and with the "We're worth the wait" phrase in the message. That makes me think that Berkeley did indeed send the email out to all prospective students, BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT it makes me wonder why, then, only one friend of mine and I have not received any of the three versions of the email. Someone give me some hope, please! If you have any explanation to this whole shananigan or if you have any news that might relieve me from my anxiety, please post |

xxfly4lyfxx - most that got it are why we're here on the forums. I know a lot that haven't at my school.
yayitsjane - we're all just guessing. No one is sure what it means.

What about those with extremely low stats that recieved this email, for example I know someone with a 3.4 and <1800 sat that got the 'worth the wait'

to xxfly4lyfxx,
This is not reliable support, but my friend told me that he knows "a lot" of underqualified students who applied to Berkeley and received the email with the "worth the wait" phrase. Again, this is unreliable support because my friend might have just been trying to make me feel better :/ Did you not receive the email either? I'm not sure if this is saying anything, but I got accepted to UCLA but didn't get the email...I thought I'd have a better shot at Berkeley than LA since LA considers test scores and other numbers as more important factors in making their decisions than Berkeley whereas Berkeley takes the essays into more consideration, and I had pretty good essays. I have low stats for a UCLA admit...1910 on my SAT, 4.5 ish GPA.

I did receive the email, and I always thought that my chances at CAL were better than UCLA because they consider essays and EC's more. I received the supplemental application from UCLA and was ultimately denied. Hopefully I will get into CAL, and am hoping that this 'worth the wait' email I received is a good sign, but I am not sure. I have 3.96 gpa 1870 sat, but great EC's and essays.
