And the "we're worth the wait"...couldn't that be in reference to the university being like the #1 ranked public university in the nation...so like literally they are worth the wait cuz they are #1. Plus doesn't it say "we're worth the wait" on their admin website on a note to all 2008 applicants...?!?!?!?!

celfonesaregreat,

Someone said that the message posted online had been edited after people began speculating the whole email thing. Supposedly, before, the phrase was not included in the message and now it is.

so wait a minute was the message online for all applicants put before the email was ever sent or after...i mean i got my email (#3) around 2 37...maybe the numbers have to do with the time the email was sent?!?!?!?

-_____- I said that I wouldn't come back to this thread, but I did!! I'm at school in a free period, and I thought I'd waste some more of my time by posting!!!

Soooooooooooooooooooooooo I called the admissions office a few minutes ago and asked them about the whole email thing. Basically, there was no point in contacting them because I told them that the myBerkeleyApp guy said to me that they had an unusual number of email bounces, and the lady used that to support why some people didn't receive the email. Something I found interesting, though, was that she seemed to get a little angry at me for no apparent reason...maybe my theory is correct--that email means maybe and no email means rejected Maybe they don't want us to know!!!!

I was going to add another argument, but I forgot. Now I have to go to my KEY Club board meeting so I'll post the rest of what I wanted to say when I get home.

I know it's rediculous that I'm still trying to figure this thing otu when decisions are posted online tomorrow, but I just can't help it... :/ If no email really does mean that you're rejected, I'd like to know now and get over it sooner than have high hopes for tomorrow and get crushed

I think this whole email thing is a little stupid (because decisions come out tomorrow) but can you guys tell me what the emails 1, 2, and 3 are? I got the one that said "we're worth the wait," but only that one.

That's #3. I believe the other emails didn't include some parts in #3, such as the "worth the wait."

When I contacted UCB, I was told that "everyone got it." Clearly, that's not the case. A lot of people haven't gotten any sort of email, so I'm not sure what to make of it.

If it were a 'likeley sign,' would they be able to tell you?

I think not because that is against berk's policy, at least that is what they are leading us to believe.

and therefore they cant admit that they sent out emails to prevent admits from getting back to other schools to soon?

but then again, they could be completely right, and lets hope for yayitsjane's sake. lol
