Email from UCB admissions about Mar 27 decions?
Did anyone get an email about decisions coming on March 27th. My D just got one.


Freshman decisions for fall 2008 will be announced on March 27!

We know you're hearing from other University of California campuses, but before you give them your reply, please wait to hear from UC Berkeley: we're worth the wait!

Berkeley decisions will be posted online via the student portal, myBerkeleyApplication,

Is it a good sign or did everyone get it???

My S got the same email seniormom. Don't know what it means or if they sent it to everyone who applied--but it seems kinda mean if Cal sent this "wait to hear" email out to kids who have been getting excited about acceptances at other UCs if Cal only intends to deny them next week anyway.

Got it.

I agree with madbean that they should have skipped the line "We know you're hearing from other University of California campuses, but before you give them your reply, please wait to hear from UC Berkeley: we're worth the wait!" If they are not sure why add that line... why not just say "decisions are coming Mar 27th".

P.S. More analysis of the email shows that it was sent only to those who applied to multiple UCs and got accepted by at least one!
