So for all you Berkeley people out there, what should we bring Fall 2008?!

I hear we should bring our clothes in batches- like fall clothes before Thanksgiving, then take everything back and bring winter clothes.

Well, I'm from Southern CA. so I have jeans and shirts for... all 4 seasons (nice, nice, nice and a little chilly). I hear it can get pretty cold up there, so do we need heavy coats?! I only have one... do we need more?

I've been reading "what you need to know before going to college" types of books, and they suggest bringing a fan!!! Is that really needed in the Bay Area?!

Basically, what should we bring for dorm life, and what things did you wish you could have brought your frosh year?!

I think theres a thread like this runnign around in the forum here, under a more general topic. They have a really extensive thread of things to bring.

As for fan, no, U prob dont need one, unless ur staying for the summer and the aptment u live in doesnt have AC.
As for so cal to nor cal transition, it is colder here, so bring some long sleeves and sweaters and long pants. A scarf may be handy, as well as gloves in the winter. dont forget an umbrella. lol
