| I agree with myau and santa - Every private school is waving carrots at kids. I hear Cal and UCLA have been beefing their recruitment efforts past few years. Yes, the Alum. Scholarship is not big money, but sure can sway decisions (given merit aid is almost non-existant at Cal). At the very least it should be done and complete a week before SIR. Looks like every year they tend to inform about it a day or 2 before SIR deadline. What's the point if the kids have already made up their mind. Makes one wonder if they are looking at whether you file SIR and then go "Oh, by the way, we will give you some money for the right decision you made"
Kind of upside down I would say!
Hope the Alum Assn. meets, discusses this and has a well defined schedule for all districts next year. |
