I am very pleased to inform you that you have been selected as an awardee for the California Alumni Association Leadership Award Alumni Scholarship for the 2008-09 academic year!
The alumni who interviewed you were delighted to meet you and were very impressed with your excellent leadership and your potential to flourish at UC Berkeley. If you choose to come to Cal, you will enjoy many benefits provided by the 95,000 worldwide members of the California Alumni Association, including access to alumni mentorship programs, career development opportunities, student leadership training and a host of alumni-sponsored student organizations and activities. We sincerely hope you will attend UC Berkeley and add to the campus community by developing your leadership through the California Alumni Association, both now and after graduation.
This is one of the most prestigious scholarships on the UC Berkeley campus. If you live in California, you will receive $1500.00 for the 2008-2009 school year. If you are an out-of-state student, then you will receive $2000.00 for the 2008-09 school year.

Please email no later than May 1st to tell us if you plan on attending UC Berkeley to accept your award. Note that this process is in addition to submitting your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) for UC Berkeley. If you leave an email, please be sure to include your full legal name and UC Application ID Number.
Please note that if you are still in the running for The Achievement Award Program, you will receive a separate notification about that scholarship shortly.
