The main reason for taking 17 units would be to take the classes I am interested in as opposed to being forced to take classes which are convenient given my schedule. Also, I need to fit in Rhetor 10, 20 and PolSci 3 to my schedule to (1) declare as a Rhetoric major for SP09, and (2) PolSci 3 may not be offered in the spring and may be required to write a honors thesis, or attempt any other research. The only class which I can cut is PolSci 103 –but, again, my only concern is that I will not be able to take other courses in my specialization (American Politics) due their limited availability to either Fall or Spring semesters, which could present a pick-one-over-the-other situation.

What I think I am going to do is to enroll in all the above 17 units, and study as best I can for the first 3 weeks (the deadline to withdraw); and if at that time I can’t handle my schedule, PolSci 103 will go.
