Well, I'm looking to take Spanish 2 or 3 next semester, but all of the classes that fit in my schedule have waitlists of over 10 people. Do you think it's possible they will add more classes as the year approaches? Should I get on the waitlist anyways?

Get on the waitlist as soon as possible. Staying on the waitlist doesn't hurt you in any way, so why not do it and see what happens?

Although with waitlists that long, I think your enrollment may be questionable, but give it a shot anyways.

As far as I know they don't usually add more classes, but as previously mentioned, get on a waiting list. For reasons I don't entirely understand a ton of people drop their classes in the first two weeks or so, so you have a reasonable shot at getting in. I signed up the night before classes started last semester (#10 on the waiting list or so I believe), and I was only one or two spots from getting in. Good luck.

Absolutely get on the waitlist. Foreign languages have a bit less burn than some other classes, but if you're not on the waitlist and you go crash a class, you probably won't be admitted. Be aware that you might be encouraged to attend a different time slot if it's available, particularly if it's a no-conflicts-but-I-hate-mornings section like 8am. There is a small possibility they may just increase enrollment in the class to handle a bit more of the demand (but don't count on it, especially in this year of budget cuts).
