Psych 2

Hey, I had a question about Psychology 2. The Online Schedule of Classes states that it has seats reserved for upperclassmen. So do juniors and seniors make up the majority in that class? Since this class seems to be geared slightly towards upperclassmen, would it be a good idea for a rising freshman to take this course or should I go for Psychology 1 instead (which seems to cater more towards lowerclassmen, that is, ignoring the fact that psych 1 is for intended psych majors)?

Psych 2 is easier than Psych 1, I know freshmen who take it and do well. You'll do fine in the class.

Like what cheeks said, anyone can take Psych 2, and lots of freshmen who know they are not going to major in Psychology or don't need Psych 1 as a prerequisite take Psych 2 because it is a relatively easy course (much less reading than Psych 1) and is good for anyone to take. & there should be a wide range of people in that class, from freshmen to seniors.

Thanks you guys! Also, do any of you know why there are people waitlisted for psych 2 already even though the course isn't anywhere near full?

The waitlisted students are the freshmen/sophomores who want to take the class. If you take a look at the course restrictions, it says:
Seats have been reserved for:

1. Students with a class level of Junior or Senior (Open)

which means that right now, only junior/seniors will be officially enrolled in the class. Everyone else will be waitlisted and then added later on. You'll have no problem getting into the class.
