College Writing R1A

Can anyone tell me a little about the class? Is it hard/easy/time-consuming? Any thoughts/opinions will greatly help! I wasn't able to take the AWPE in May because of a personal situation and I didn't take the AP Lit exam, so I pretty much have to take this class.

A lot of it depends on who your professor is. Since it is a small class (under 16 students), you will get to know both your professor and classmates very well. If the professor's cool and you get along with your classmates, then the class can be more enjoyable than your typical small class/discussion. However, that doesn't mean it's necessarily easy. Most CW R1A classes have lots of reading and depending on how well you grasp the reading, you may have to take a long time for your work. If you're looking for an easy A, these classes are not what you want, because on average the teacher gives out 20% A's (5 students at most a class because that is how the college writing program is set up). Another suggestion to make sure you enjoy the class more is if you can find out the reading list of the teachers and pick the class that fits you and your schedule the best.

I thought it was only offered in September? And I can't do September because I'm an FPF student and my results won't make it back in time.
