On the telebears textbook window, it says we're required get Essential Calculus (:Early transcendentals I'm assuming)). "But on comegetused there's a lot of used CAlculus: early transcendentals 5th edition for sale. Is it okay to get either or should I just get the one that it says on the website?

edit: does anyone know which one is better?

okay so i'm not exactly sure which two books you're looking at, but i can offer this valuable information:

there's 2 freshman calc books floating around at berkeley. one is thin and shorter and is called "essential calculus: early transcendentals" by james stewart. the other one is effing huge and i don't know the name.

you SHOULD be fine with either, but the short "early transcendentals" one is WAY preferred. all your problem sets will be from the short one. look for the short one. its cheap because it's thin and paperback, so even if you have to get it new go for that one.

thanks for the reply ! yeah i did some research the huge one is calculus: early transcendentals and the new one is essential calculus: early transcendentals. -_-
