Spring admits and housing

I would like to terminate my dorm contract for the spring semester but I have not yet done it. However, I don't want to pay for the room that I am in and for the apartment in case
no one moves in. I live in a unit 3 double. How likely would it be for the room to be filled with a spring admit? Is there a way to contact a spring admit to see if they want the room? How does this work? Anyone have any experience?

Also, do you think it is too late to file for a termination? Are the odds against me?

My son got out of his Unit 3 Triple and will be moving into his frat house. It was supposed to have been requested by Dec. 7. Contact housing to see if there is anything you can do. You can also market it yourself and see if someone takes it.

Hm What do you mean by market? Also, if I do find someone to take the
place, then can my application be accepted for sure?

Yes, find someone to take over your contract and they will let you out even if they have space to give out. I think Double Units are premium and you can find someone. Put out a Thread on this. Someone contacted us this way, but my son was a triple. I'm sure my son's spot is being taken by a Spring Admit. Someone should contact you.
