declaring Econ

Does anyone know what a safe GPA is for declaring Econ?
I've heard 3.4, and the advisers won't tell me one way or the other lol.

Anything over a 3.0+really wanting to do Econ will get you in.

Get at least a 3.0 GPA in your prereqs and you're in. 3.4 is just the average.

How are you so sure that you only need a 3.0?

Talked to an advisor and she assured me that a 3.0 was the minimum needed. It's been that way every semester (I'm a declared Econ major btw).

It's the minimum needed, but is it the GPA that pretty much "guarantees" entrance?
I heard that number was 3.4

Trust me, if you get a 3.0 in the prereqs, you're in. The strength of the applicants each semester is roughly the same, and unless everyone who applies one semester has a 4.0, then it'll remain at 3.0.

According to the website the latest you can apply is the fifth semester unless you have less than 80 units

So 3.4 is the average GPA of economics graduates?
