What is the STEP program for pre-med?

My friend on his TO DO list has a link to sign up for STEP program.. What is it exactly? Is it for kids with lower GPA or higher GPA or just in general a program that is available to everyone?

Thanks in advance!

it's only available to first generation and low income students so it can't be for EVERYONE. this is design to help them succeed in college =] your friend should go cuz there are so many reasons to! just read through the link and find out!

you have to be invited to join STEP... it's for low income, first generation college students, OR just minority students. (not pre-med exclusively) It's designed to help those students succeed in their classes so your friend should go. (They also get priority registration.) Don't feel toooo jealous of your friend, if he does STEP, he'll take condensed courses with exams the month before real classes start.
