Student Housing. First come first serve?

Do those who turn in their student housing earlier than others have a better chance of getting their preferred dorm preferences?

Silly freshmen.
Just get them in before the deadline to guarantee that you get a housing spot. Im not sure if it matters if you turn in the forms earlier than that deadline or not...but i suggest you do because you will be screwed if something happens (example: they misplace you documents, item gets lost in the mail, a ninja comes and steals the mail, etc).

How is that silly? Obviously you get it in before the deadline but the question was whether it is first come first serve.

Silly.

True, I am a silly freshman. I should have referred to you guys as the future silly freshmen.

Anyways, no they don't. The process is pretty much random, although they try to do as you requested.

lol.

I'm already aware that you're guaranteed housing if you turn the application in on time.

What I wanted to know was whether or not those who turned in their applications earlier than others get their information processed earlier than others. Or in other words, do those students get first priority for their rooming preferences because their applications were sent in before other students (Note that this is a situation where these students have sent their applications in before the deadline).

Does anyone know?

I still have to turn mine in, but it's guaranteed housing for incoming freshmen so I am not that worried.
