Is it a lot of extra work? -Probably for you since you are too lazy to look up information on ucdavis.edu.......http://www.housing.ucdavis.edu/TEXT/...rogram-new.htm

What are the benefits? -"Your fellow participants in the Health Science ATP will share your interest in the health professions. Along with a shared interest in health sciences, residents who select the Health Science ATP will participate in a seminar that will offer information on a variety of academic and health science career options (including medical school and veterinary school) discussions about internships and career options, and the possibility of sharing classroom and lab experiences with those in similar majors. "

I want to go into pre-dental studies so would it be beneficial to me? -Get back to me after your first chemistry midterm. Im pretty sure at least a quarter of the premeds choice a different career path after chem2a. Frankly, I don't think you will waste space and mention this in you app (some schools have a limited amount of stuff you can put down/space to write it down). Might be good to show your early interest in the field, but you can do that easily with lots of other things like "i liked getting my teeth pulled out because i want to meet the tooth fairy. i want to do this to other kids so they can live my dream of seeing the tooth fairy."

Ive had a long day so forgive my blunt/sarcastic answers.........
