Taking OChem 118 a and b over summer?

How is it? I'm considering it to lighten my load for next school year and to avoid the waitlist horror also. In the summer, is there workshop for ochem too? Or should I just take it over the regular school year...

^responding to the above poster-

Waitlist is when the class is full already but there's still a chance to get in if you waitlist on the class. Sometimes you get in, sometimes you dont [depending who drops the class and how many people are ahead of you on the waitlist]...I tried getting into Bio twice already [winter and spring quarter] and didnt get in even though I was #2 on the waitlist. I think this applies to all UC system because there's too many students.

Edit: and yes, they can take classes before fall.

It's recommended you don't take 8 units+ over the summer since each session is 6 weeks long instead of 10 weeks[so you'll be running through the material much faster]. 6 units over the summer is already a lot, remember, it's not how many classes you can take, it's the grade you can get out of it.

oh of course, I don't plan on taking a lot, just some I seriously need catching up in due to my shortcomings as my schools (mostly in the science department)

so, any links to it?

To Be Honest, I would recommend taking summer courses at your Community College.

Much MUCH cheaper, and you wont have to sit in a HUGE lecture hall... And you wont have to commute as far, or pay an extra 2k to live on campus for the summer...

Comm. Coll. is probably my first choice too, but if it conflicts with my vacation (unlike Davis' Summer Session 2) then I will not be taking it :\ Also taking classes in August at Davis will really help me adapt earlier to the campus and environment :P
