yes it's very possible. just talk to an adviser when you go up to oreientation. but you can only switch after one quarter of school. and some other majors have certain requirements
Actually no, you cannot change your major until the Winter quarter. This is because many freshmen don't know what they want to do and go on a gut instinct-- only to wind up changing it over and over. You really don't need to change your major until you for sure know what you want to do (sophomore-year is probably the best time to do it)
Not always though. It depends a lot on the major. Many have a series of prerequisite classes that you need to finish with a required GPA before you are officially admitted into the major. It is best to discuss this with an academic advisor.
