Where to put GATE

Hmmm. Where do you put a GATE class on the app? It's pass/fail, so doesn't work in the classes section since it asks for a grade. Specialized Curriculum in Step 4? Educational Prep Programs in Step 6?

I am also in the GATE program. I just mentioned that somewhere in my essays, though. If anywhere, I think you can put that as one of the Educational Preparation Programs.

P.S., I didnt think that people in GATE actually attended special classes. I guess it depends on where you're from.

My understanding is that each school district decides how to implement a GATE program. Our district has teacher reco'd Juniors meet 1x/week for a month or two, each planning an independent project related to a 3-4 day field trip. They do research, go on the field trip, then present their project a month or so later. It goes on their transcript as a pass/fail class worth 5 units (one semester class). How about yours?

Honors classes and AP took the place of gate at my high school. Why not talk about it in your educational opportunities section.
