UC Difficulty

Was it really harder to get into a UC this year than previous years? I've heard this rumor going around.

Anyone agree with this?

It is. Statistically it's getting harder and harder each coming year. (Bigger applicant pool is to blame)

Yes.

Largest high school graduation (class of 08) in history. There are also problems with budget cuts and California schools are in trouble, but it is rumored these problems will affect the class of '09. The UC's received I believe it was a 15% increase in applications this year as well. So yes, it was hard.
