If my essay is 1100 long and the limit is 1000 word, is it really bad? is it strictly forbidden? I have tried and tried to cut down and did the best I could do! help!
Have your English teacher read it (them) over and suggest some cuts. It will very likely strengthen the essay(s). Then don't worry about it. There has been much discussion about this every application season, and students have found that going a bit over the limit is not a problem. That said, DO ask your English teacher to make cuts. Excellent editing is a wonderful thing!
