I know they don't ask for it in the app, but when they see your transcript

will UC's look at B+'s in a different light than they would B-'s if you received good AP scores in the subject?

The UCs don't count +s and -s. So it will show up to them as a plain ol' B.

But on your high school transcript the +'s and -'s will be there, right?

I think some schools only do solid A,B,C,etc.

UCs don't require transcripts. So no, they won't see it.

well, technically they see your transcript but only after they decided to admit you, and then you had accepted the spot. It is read solely to validate that the self-reported grades match the transcript.
