Reflection
Strengths: My academic record and test scores. Maybe the fact that all my extracurriculars are related to the field of English/writing.
Weaknesses: I wish I'd done more extracurriculars and been more extensively involved in general.
Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: My academic record and overall commitment to English probably painted a picture of me as very focused and decisive about what I want, I think. (Or maybe I'm just being egotistical about that last bit.)
General Comments: The fact that I got into CHP means that UCI is definitely a significant choice for me to consider. If I fail to get into either UCLA or Berkeley (which I hope will NOT happen), I'll probably lean toward UCI for this reason.

Weaknesses: Lack of strong extracurriculars, especially relating to engineering and leadership positions.
Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: I feel like my senior-year course load helped me get CHP over many other qualified students with similar stats as me from my school. Also, my GPA, SAT score, dedication to French, and COSMOS have helped.
General Comments: I'm very surprised I got CHP - only about 600 of the 5,000 incoming freshmen are CHP students! Still waiting on other UCs, but I am very happy with this offer.
Good luck to everyone else
