| UCI sucks, so the will send you emails telling you their decision, but won't tell you in person or verbally. Whats up with that.
I have the same UCR issue in terms of dorm deposit, SIR deposit, etc. I checked with UCR and you don't need to send the dorm deposit in until June 1st. Not sure if you cause youself problems if you reserve a dorm room and never send a deposit, such as they won't let you recind you SIR until you pay the deposit. I did not ask that specifcally. Maybe I would jsut stick with UCR anyway if UCI continues to take forever. Since I want to come to a final decision in the next week or so, |

| ucIrvine was my dream school ughh!!
i have a quick question..
when you hear "UCSB" or "UC Santa Barbara"..what is the first thing that comes to your mind?
do you give them a little respect? or do you assume they party all the time?
if you see someone at Borders wearing a UCSB sweater, what do you begin to assume about that person? |

| Wow, I knew Irvine had difficulties of punctuality from past experiences last year, but that's just crazy. They really seem to be taking their time. I feel for whoever still has to wait for their appeals past May.. as if waiting for the regular round of admissions didn't give you a heart attack already! |

| Freshmen aren't guaranteed housing if they're admitted after May 1st... will you guys still go to UCI (if your appeal works) anyways? Would we have to buy an apartment off campus?? I don't want to live off campus.... UGHhhh I hate waiting so much )= |

| Julia- what did you appeal with? How did it look like when you logged onto your application? (I appealed to Cal, I'm just wondering)
Congrats! |

| Um i appealed because even though i got into UCD, UCSB, UCSD, and UCSC, irvine was the only school that had the musical theater program i wanted. So I wrote a professional letter explaining why i wanted to go to UCI, and i included letters of rec from my theater teacher and my voice teacher and i also included my extensive theater resume.
And my page looked like a regular UCI acceptance page with the cursive letters at the top and then it says:
"Application status
Appeal: After careful consideration of the information you provided, your appeal has been granted"
and i freaked out. i'm so happyyyy |

| OMG Julia: what did you write in your appeal? How early did you send it in? & Did you find out by logging in or did they email you? |

| I sent it in on the 4th by overnight mail and i found out online today. I just wrote from the heart but in a business-like way that UCI is truly the only school for me because of there musical theater program that all the other UCs lack. and i think the fact that UCSD accepted me (and i put that in my letter) helped as well... |
