admission: denied. It's okay though, I honestly wasn't expecting much.

I submitted my packet on April 3rd. I did include my letter of recs. Maybe that was a good thing or a bad thing. I do not know.

False alarm. I realized when I checked my account earlier this morning, it said. Sorry we are unable to offer you admission for 2008. I stopped reading after that. I looked down and noticed that my appeal status was still pending/under consideration. Must have been too tired to process it correctly in m head I guess I'm still in this one for a little longer.

Is it even possible to cancel a SIR? Is there a charge for it?

For those appealing and waiting, would submitting a SIR decline help those who are appealing? If a kid is 99% sure to decline the admission offer, does it help those who are appealing if the kid declines earlier, so the slot is freed up for the one appealing?
In other words if one declines, would one become a good samaritan?
