Is there reliable taxi cab services in Irvine?

I live in Irvine and there are virtually no taxis. They don't just drive around, but if you call a cab service you can get one.

In what aspect?

Pros:
Nice campus
Relatively smaller than other UCs
Easy to navigate
Amazing architecture
Good library, as a place to study
Really close to *life*
Newport, Corona Del Mar, Huntington Beach, etc
Nice places to chill on the weekends (around campus, not campus)
ARC - Anteater rec center, AMAZING! , but crowded
Cons:
Lack of excitement on the weekends
Asian population outweights other population therefore campus activities are somewhat focused on the Asian population
Lack of good professors for fundamental courses
Lack of study resources
Bad library, old books for technology
Disorganized,...REALLY disorganized, you probably already know by your applications procedures
Food sucks for vegans/vegetarians

yes what ND6 has said is almost correct.

however there are more pros and cons.

As you know, Irvine was picked one of the "safest" city in US. There are alot of cops here. If you are not a their or do some grand theft auto.. you are good to go and in a good community.

Some more cons are since there are a lot of cops you have to watch how you drive... the cops here dont have nothing to do so,, they give you ticket for "J-walkin" yea.. pretty lame..
