Taking Chemistry

The only Chemistry I took in HS was Honors chem in 10th grade, and I got a B/C for the semesters.

It's required that I take General Chem my first year, but should I take the introductory course for Chem during the summer? Or will I be fine in General Chem, even if I barely remember anything?

I've heard that introductory courses do not count towards GE's, but I wish to take actual courses that satisfy GE requirements during the summer.

you will be fine in Chem 1a...it starts from the beginning. If you feel you really need the intro definitely get it out of the way in the summer so you can finish Gen chem your first year.
