can't connect to the internet :(

okay people keep telling me the same thing over that it should automatically connect me....

i have a macbook. my wifi says it's connected to the UCI internet. however, when i open up my safari browser, it says i'm not connected. anyone else experience this or have any knowledge????

Try a different browser. If not then just call ResNet or NACS or whomever and they should be able to help you.

Depends where you are. Are you talking about in dorms? They don't get wireless. Everywhere else (like the park, lecture halls) should work. Did you try turning off and on airport?

No idea why, but it didn't work for me either when I used to have a chem class in there. Don't sweat it.

Yeah SSLH is lame. The trick is to sit in the front right section (near the second doorway). Albeit, still one bar, but it usually works. It's the only lecture hall that gave me problems, too.
