Transportation to Irvine's Amtrak??

I'm trying to get to the Amtrak this friday but the cab fare is around $35 (pretty much how much it is to take the actual Amtrak down to SD) and I don't want to spend that much. Is there a shuttle or bus service that goes to the Amtrak station from UCI??

According to attached OCTA bus with one transfer will do it.

To be honest with you, the Irvine Amtrak requires a guaranteed one bus transfer. The most direct would be the 79, followed by the 86. If you're willing to spend a bit more (and if it's possible to rebook your trip, it might be a good idea to instead take the 59 to the Santa Ana Depot, then take Amtrak from there to San Diego. I' aware it's more expensive, but the cost is relatively close. That way, there would be no bus transfers.

Theres the 473 bus that takes you all the way to the Tustin Metrolink/Amtrak station.
