Total GPA: 3.59 (weighted) 3.04 (non weighted)

US history CP
Chemistry AP
English 3 CP
marching band
SAT 1 : 1870
CR: 490
Math: 750
Writing: 630
SAT 2

right now I have all As in my classes, but I'm still worried that I wont get into any college because of my Sophomore GPA.
If I continue getting As until I graduate, will UCI or any other colleges accept me?
I plan to take 5 AP classes in my senior year.

What else? Test scores and GPA are not all that is factored for admission. What are your extracurriculars? clubs? leadership?
If you do not raise your GPA,
It is low for UCI and you need to raise it up or your SAT score needs to be way higher, at least 2100+ to make up for it.
You need at least a 3.9 UC WEIGHTED GPA imo. Senior year and freshman year grades do not count, or at least I heard. I do know that your senior year courseload rigor makes a difference, but not entirely sure.

you should really really REALLY work hard at raising that gpa! UCI's avg gpa is around 3.9- 4.0 weighted. and the avg SAT score is 1900+; you should at least try breaking 2000...
your subject scores are GOOD though (: good job
good thing youre a junior though (: you still have a lot of chances to retake the SAT I .
just improve A LOT this year; i heard the admissions office likes to see improvement in their applicant's grades.
well basically what junshik ^ said, i kinda repeated o__o but theyre true!
yeah and u should have some strong ECs... like at least some leadership in some clubs and committment to some sort of community service!

Try to boost up your gpa. With a little higher gpa and those SAT scores you should be alright. Also, try to get higher scores on your other AP's (easier said than done...I know heh). It'll look better, and you'll also get course credit. Since they usually only give out course credit for 4's or 5's.

Given the information you've provided (assuming you have done no outstanding extra-curriculars) you most likely will not make it into UCI especially due to budget cuts. If you can get that SAT1 score up to 2200+ and get a 4.0 JR year, then you definitely have a shot at admissions.
Try taking some community college courses on top of your regular courseload and ace them. Unlike other schools, UCI doesn't seem to take into account GPA improvement over your high school years. If they do recognize that, then you'll get some good extra points towards admissions. Lastly, if there's a compelling reason as to why you got such a low GPA sophomore year (hardships only), then explain it in our essay. It might completely make up for it if you have a really good reason...

I'll admit, your chances seem kinda low out of context. However, if you are a korean immigrant, i believe you will have a much easier time than expected. Lots of first generation asians at UCI....

Like the people above said, you need extracurricular and better SAT to make up for your GPA. If you are doing extracurricular, stick with them and try to get a position in a club. Colleges look for your devotion to your activities. In my opinion, taking too much load your senior year is bad. Unless if you are trying to impress the private colleges, take only the APs you can handle. Because by the end of senior year you might be struggling to keep up your grades and the schools might revoke your admission if you drop significantly in your grades. I don't think colleges look at your senior classes too much as long as you have a good work load and keep up your grades. Since you are a junior, it is not too late to join clubs or volunteer.
