I was just wondering what is the most efficient (and practical) way to get from UCI to John Wayne Airport (and vice versa) using public transportation. I'm going home for Thanksgiving and I know that there's a UCI shuttle that's going back and forth, but I'm returning on Saturday and there's no shuttle scheduled for that day.

there was an email that was sent out:

Due to the high level of interest, Parking and Transportation Services
is adding evening hours to complimentary holiday shuttle service to
John Wayne Airport.

The shuttle to the airport will now operate on the following schedule:

Departures - November 25, December 11 and December 12:
8:30 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 4:30 p.m.,
and now 6:00 p.m., 7:30 p.m., and 9:00 p.m.

Return service - November 29 and January 3:
8:30 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 4:30 p.m.,
and now 6:00 p.m., 7:30 p.m., and 9:00 p.m.

Also please note, for those who need to travel to or from LAX, the Los
Angeles World Airports now operates a "Flyaway Bus" service
between the Irvine Transportation Center and LAX. For information,
