I believe you should've gotten a notice to sign up for it if you were in the Top 40 in your class last year, and you were notified if you were selected to be in ELC over the summer.

I was in a Virginia school last year. Is that a California thing?

Your gpa is below the average, but you have a really good SAT and decent ec's, so I'd say you have a pretty good chance of getting in.

How long have you been in California? I'm not sure if you qualify unless you're a California resident (there's a very specific definition of this that you'll have to look up).

ELC is for students in the top 4% of their HS class. It sounds like you might not be, though. Regardless, you'll still probably get into most of the UC's.

Also, UC's calculate their own GPA for you, so you might want to look into that. Essentially, they count only 10th and 11th grade and only allow a certain number of AP credits to inflate your grade.

apply for UCLA and UCB as well, I'd say you've got a good shot at even them

FYI freshman GPA(courses at that level, 10th grade level courses taken frosh year count) doesn't count from what I understand unless something changed from 2003-2007 and now.

if for some reason you aren't accepted, go to a community college in california for a year. Apply November of the year you start and you're gold as long as you've got a 3.5+ GPA and knock out your prerequisites.

Thanks for the chances.

If I don't get into a CA College, I'm sure I can get into some other one without having to resort to Community College.

While I respect those poeple that go to Community College and then a Uni, I just don't think that the path for me, as I want to graduate college early.
